HopeCentral loves the community through extraordinary pediatric care

  • Healthcare is fundamentally about caring for families.

Healthcare today is increasingly dominated by large corporations driven by a profit motive. In contrast, at HopeCentral we believe healthcare is a ministry, an opportunity to serve the community.

  • Healthy families are the bedrock of healthy communities, but significant health disparities persist in our neighborhood, our city, and our nation.

Kids with low incomes, kids of color, and kids with special needs face barriers to care, and poor health outcomes, including shorter lifespans. Amazing pediatric care puts kids and families on a better path.

  • HopeCentral accompanies all types of families through the joys and challenges of childhood.

HopeCentral seeks to be a respectful, trusted guide for all families. We welcome and proudly serve families and individuals who beautifully represent our diverse community in south Seattle. We know that opportunities and challenges take many forms, and we are here for families through all of them.

  • Extraordinary pediatric care is for everyone!

We reserve 50% of our patient capacity for families with low incomes covered by Medicaid and welcome families with special needs as a Washington Autism Center of Excellence. Extraordinary care is for everyone!

Our Mission

Sharing the love of Jesus through excellent, enhanced primary care for the entire community.

Our goal at HopeCentral is to provide excellent, evidence-based pediatric care for everyone in our community, regardless of religion or economics. We do that by striving to follow the example of Jesus. As families explore coming to our clinic, many wonder what does “sharing the love of Jesus” look like in a medical clinic? Others ask, “What if I am not a Christian, will I get treated differently? Can I still come? Will I get preached at?” When we think about “Sharing the love” at HopeCentral, we follow these values:

Whole Person Focus

We recognize that health intertwines physical, emotional, and spiritual elements. Our approach to quality healthcare starts from this perspective. We welcome discussions with families about the spiritual practices and communities that support their lives. If you prefer not to talk about these things in a health care context, just let us know and we will respect that

Hospitality & Taking Time

HopeCentral welcomes families of all backgrounds. Our goal is for you and your child to feel cared for each time you interact with us.

We are committed to longer appointments and undertaking care for children with complex needs. This is one way we answer the call to serve those who may not feel they fit into a traditional medical practice.

Clinical Excellence

Evidence-based care is foundational to our culture.

Vocational Calling

We believe healthcare is an important component of community development. Our clinic actively seeks input from the neighborhood to better tailor our services to meet community needs. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, HopeCentral commits clinic resources to engage in projects that promote health and justice in our neighborhood.
